Early History
Born in Castlereagh, Ireland, Lorcan was no stranger to the more darker and violent things in life. His father was a low level mobster in Ireland; hardly respected and taken for a joke. Lorcan grew up around the violence, despite his mother’s best efforts to keep him from it. Throughout his child years, he and his mother traveled to England where her parents were. His mother was English, his father was Irish, and his grandparents on his mother’s side were Scottish, while his grandparents on his father’s side were part Irish part Italian, making his background quite colorful. As he grew up, Lorcan was known to switch accents on people, often confusing them. He found their reaction to be so funny that he continued the trait, much to his parents dislike.
At a young age, he developed a fetish for women, and often would stalk them just to run away whenever confronted by him. He never paid attention in school, thinking that his purpose in life didn’t need an education. As he grew up, he found himself in lots of fights at school and around his work, where he worked as a meat packer. His job though was only a fore front for his father’s mob boss. When Lorcan met his father’s boss, he took a liking towards him, seeing as he was straight and honest while his parents generally were not. When Lorcan was twelve, he learned how to shoot a gun. When he was thirteen, he killed an animal with that same gun. As time went on and crime soared in their backyard, Lorcan became close with the mobster type of life, learning different hand-to-hand combat skills as well as shooting. Eventually, the Police Service of Northern Ireland began to crack down on the mob wars. Of all the mobsters arrested, Lorcan’s father was one of them. As a result, his mother moved back to England and Lorcan decided to relocate somewhere else.
Gaimen City
The place he landed in was a hit. Gaimen City. It was a place like no other that he had heard about. Lorcan had trouble finding a job in the city though because it seemed that you had to know people to land a job anywhere. Eventually, he came across this club and was hired as a bouncer. He was told though that he had to grow his hair out as well as some facial hair, to give off an angrier impression. Lorcan did this and worked as a respected bouncer at Club Styx. Eventually, after a good year or so, he became bored and asked the manager if there was any hope in getting promoted somehow. He wanted more than what he was being fed. The manager simply laughed at him. Lorcan took it amongst himself to make a statement and a future for him. The manager didn’t respect the women that worked for him and his business skills were awful. No one liked him but because of his ties with the family that owed the club, no one touched him. But Lorcan wasn’t going to let that stop him.
With one clean shot, he killed the manager. When the de Winters demanded information on who killed the manager, Lorcan framed an innocent man to get him killed and make himself look good to the family. The heist worked and Lorcan received the club. Immediately, he changed things, all for the better, and worked closer with the family in the clubs everyday dealing. The club became much more than just a place to hang. It gained a name and a rep. Drugs, alcohol, nudity, weapons, women…they were all found here under Lorcan. His fondness and respect of women were well known throughout the city as was his smuggling business behind closed doors.
Family
While his mother truly claimed to love his father, she didn’t like the fact that Patrick kept Lorcan around all the violence, so she did her best to shield him from things that went on. If Patrick was targeted from another mob hit, Celina would take Lorcan out of the room and distract him while Patrick took care of business; this came to drugs and smuggling as well. Lorcan was not a fool though. He knew his mother well by pretending like he didn’t know what was going on. Lorcan also knew what she did for a living; stripping, to put a little extra money on the table, and Christmas gifts under the tree. He didn’t understand though why she kept it a secret from people besides his father.
Love Life
A few years into the business, as he had cemented a name for himself and the club, Lorcan was approached by a homeless and trashy looking female, looking for a job at his club. With one look and one question, he turned her down and went on with his life. One night at the club, the same woman lurked around again. Approaching her, Lorcan realized how desperate she was. Though he was hesitant to hire someone that had no skills, no credentials, and didn’t pass as sexy enough for his club, he took a chance with the young girl. Soon, he and this Rosalie became the star coming attraction to the club and both became close. Each knew each other’s deepest and darkest secrets. Though Lorcan is very protective of his women and business, he is more protective and fond over Rosalie, and everyone knows it. While Ash claims to never love anyone other than his own mother and father, what he does for Rosalie and what he would do, is probably as close to the four letter word as a thick-skinned man like Lorcan Ash would ever get.
