Family and childhood
Céline is the youngest of the three Paleste siblings and grew up living in a nice house, with enough money, but the family was far from happy. Their mother Maria was a dancer and never around to care for her kids, leaving them with her abusive, alcoholic husband. She was practically brought up by her older brother and sister, but never felt like she was one of them. Her siblings were close, but she didn’t rebel against their parents with them, which only lead them to think of her as a naïve, ignorant girl. Even at that age, the only friends Céline had were her crayons and her sketchbook.
In Céline's teenage years, her sister left the unstable family home and was never seen at home again. It was that event that caused the family to fall apart. By then Céline’s passion for art had increased massively, and she worked at the Gaimen City Academy as a model for artists, in order not to be at home. Not long after Rosalie left, Céline was attacked by her father, but her older brother Michael caught the man and protected her from the rape attempt. For a while she got closer to her brother, as he grew protective over Céline. None of them spoke about the attack, and their mother was never informed. Michael offered Céline to leave the house together, much like Rosalie had, but Céline refused. Instead, she and Michael just shared a bedroom.
When Céline was seventeen years old, an accident happened at their house, and it exploded, killing her father. Céline was shocked, but couldn’t help but feel relieved, happy, even. The family members that were left; Céline, her brother and her mother, left Gaimen City and went to live in a nearby town.
Departure from Gaimen City
Céline anticipated that her life would get some sort of sincere normalness, now, but she never really got along with her mother. While she had been able to bite her tongue, for whole her life, she just couldn’t stand how hypocrite her mother was being, acting like a perfect housewife. It didn’t take too long before her brother moved out, starting his own life in a new town, figuring he had no reason for being there, with both Rosalie and his father gone. Céline studied at an art academy by then, and just stuck up living with a phony housemother. It seemed like slowly, the frustration she had been keeping for all these years, was being released it all on her mother. In a recent argument, Céline’s mother compared her to Rosalie, telling her just to leave like she had, which Céline did.
Return to Gaimen City
Finding Rosalie
Leaving after the argument was the perfect opportunity to get out and start blank, like both of her siblings had done before. She took most of her stuff, her car, and the money she had on her bank accounts, which was quite some money, after all she had been saving up for years. Inspired by her mother’s comment, she wanted to see Rosalie, and drove to the Gaimen City Area, figuring she was still around there, and determined to find her there…
It didn’t take too long before she found her sister by asking around. When Céline went to confront her sister face to face, she was shocked to see that her sister now was a pole dancer at Club Styx. Rosalie wasn’t pleased that Céline was back in town, claiming that this city wasn’t anything for her. Soon after, Céline was beaten up by a complete stranger, Lorcan Ash, telling her that she had to leave and actually giving her a million dollars to do so. However shaken up and scared Céline was, she did not leave town…
Meeting Kyle
The night before she got beaten up, she met a man in the hotel she was staying through a mix up about the rooms, Kyle LeDesma. Céline got stuck with his room and found money in his bag, taking the 600 dollars that she found. After meeting him, she failed to give it back and fled with the money. After the event, Kyle had been looking for her, wanting his money back, but after seeing the way she had been attacked, and hearing how she had been sleeping in her car, Kyle proposed to become roommates, which Céline gladly accepted. She moved in with him in his one bedroom apartment downtown.
The Accident
Living with Kyle, Céline quickly tried to move on with her life, having developed a crush on her roommate and also being reunited with her best friend from the past. She didn’t hear from her sister anymore and didn’t go out of her way to look for her either. When she one day arrived at the apartment, finding Rosalie there, making out with Kyle, she freaked out and physically attacked Rose, leaving her unconscious. Shaken up and in sorrow, Céline left the apartment, getting into a car accident that nearly killed her.
Love Life
Céline's love affairs have most notably existed around two men; her long time crush and teenage friend Matthew Danvers and her roommate Kyle LeDesma. In Gaimen City, she had a one night stand with Kelly DeWitt. A couple of past teenage boyfriends are mentioned, most notably Ace, Matthew's best friend.
Matthew Danvers
Céline and Matthew met each other in high school, having classes together. Both were a real different kind of teen, Matt being a sports player, Céline being an art geek, but they did develop a tight friendship. Both of them had a crush on the other, but neither dared to act to that feelings, afraid that it would hurt their friendship. Instead, Céline dated his friends and flaunted that in front of his face, always pissing him off to a point where he would even physically harm the guys. Without either of them being honest about their feelings, Matthew left Gaimen City to study medicine in America, only telling Céline an hour before his plane left, leaving the both of them alone and devastated.
When seven years later Matthew returned to Gaimen City, they ran into each other again at one of the places they used to hang out when they were teens. Quickly, their flame was re-sparked, this time the two of them being much more open and physical with each other. It didn't take long before Matt got his doubts, figuring that Céline was only using him to make her roommate Kyle jealous. After a couple of disagreements and a good conversation, Matt and Céline patched things up and decided to give their relationship a go. However, they never really fully opened up to each other, arguments about Kyle clouding their relationship. Right before her accident, Céline proposed to him, but after that, in a fit of anger, Matthew broke off the relationship with Céline, not really understanding what that would mean.
Kyle LeDesma
After moving in with Kyle in his apartment, Céline quickly fell in love with him, though Kyle made it clear that he had nothing but friendly thoughts for her. One night Kyle and Céline had sex on the balcony of their apartment, even though Kyle had just started dating somebody. Céline was heartbroken at first, but she quickly was happy to be just friends with him. Even though she cherished the crush for a while longer, she never initiated anything again, Kyle and Céline’s friendship was always flirty.
After Céline’s accident Kyle realized his true feelings for Céline, totally and completely guilt ridden and worried. Upon hearing that Matthew had broken up with her, Kyle admitted his feelings and swept Céline off her feet, becoming a couple. Though it wasn’t easy to adapt from being roommates to a couple and Céline decided to move out of the apartment, and into her new beach house, in the hopes that some space would do their relationship good.
Love Triangle
After the breakup with Matthew, the two tried to go back to being best friends, but tension and romance was never far away, despite Céline now being committed to Kyle. To one point, though, all of it was becoming a serious problem for their friendship. In an attempt to fix up their friendship, Matthew and Céline slept together, seeing it as a symbolic end of their relationship. However, it didn’t improve things for them as friends, as Matt came out giving Céline an ultimatum: either they would be a couple, or they wouldn’t be friends at all.
Céline was confused and didn’t know what to do, floating around the two men for a while. After informing Kyle on Matt’s choice, he actually gave her Céline the freedom to see how she could chose, which she found heartbreakingly hard to do. After an unanswered proposal of Matt and a trip with Kyle to America, Céline was extremely angry to hear that Matthew stepped back, not wanting to be with her anymore, claiming that it was in Céline’s best interest. It was the beginning of a fight that ended in complete silence for a while.
Marriage
With Céline being pregnant of Kyle's baby, they quickly reconnected. On his 25th birthday, June 13th 2009, Céline proposed to Kyle over a surprise breakfast. In response, Kyle handed her the engagement ring that he had been holding on to for a while. Deciding to go for a quick, intimate wedding, no guests were invited at the City House when they got married at noon, on the 27th of June 2009, the day of the Black and White Ball 2009, which they attended as a substitute for a real wedding party.
At the Ball, both of them reconnected with her sister Rosalie and got to meet Jake Austin, her fiancé. Neither of them four got injured at the events of the Black and White Ball.
Pregnancy
While Céline was still in the process of going through the love triangle, she found out she was pregnant, unsure of who the father really was, because she had unprotected sex with Matthew one night. Informing Kyle on that just made him devastated and angry, and he refused to go along with a paternity test. The test that was done with Matthew registered the baby as not his, so from that moment on, Céline’s baby was just looked at as Kyle’s. Since then, Kyle and Céline had been doing their best to make things better, actually looking forward to getting and raising the kid. Kyle moved into the beach house with Céline.
Gold digging
Over the years, Céline had her share of escapades involving money. She isn’t set back to sometimes indulge herself in less than respectable issues to get her hands on some wealth. Starting in her teenage years, where her love for art and her will to leave home got together in her nude modeling job for the academy of Gaimen City. Money wasn’t her motivation in this job, but she quickly grown used to that money and started saving it up.
When she grew up, the gold digger in her only increased. In Gaimen City, she stole 600 dollars from Kyle LeDesma in the hotel. The money was never returned in cash, but living with him, she did her best to make up for it, with a helping hand around the house. The million dollars she got from Lorcan Ash for leaving town was never returned either, despite her never leaving. She is still living off of that money.
The most daring thing she ever did to get money, is the moonlighting job she has been doing on top of her architect assistant job: the job of an online stripper, under the username of body_&soul . Céline actually liked the job, in a way that it's easy money and she's her own boss. She didn't even mind dealing with the creeps she ran into. When Kyle walked in on her in the middle of her camming, he got insane and crashed her computer, ending the depth she was in towards him and also putting a (temporary) stop to her webcam career.
